One model of community resilience (e.g., Botey & Kulig, 2014; Kulig & Botey, 2016; Townshend et al., 2015) highlights three categories: (a) interactions as a collective unit, (b) expression of sense of community, and (c) community action, translating into social networks, sense of belonging, and community problem-solving.
Individuals, families, and communities are viewed as inherently resilient, competent, and capable of accessing individual and collective strength through support and encouragement.
